Note

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the 2020 Nature Trek 360 program has been cancelled.

The Nature Trek 360° program is provided through a partnership between the Scott County School System and Natural Tunnel State Park. Students will have the opportunity to study the natural history of our region through a visit to the Clinch River. They will also explore the cultural history of the region and experience some of the challenges encountered by pioneers on the forefront of our country’s westward expansion. The program is 3 days and 2 nights long, with overnight lodging provided at the Cove Ridge Center within Natural Tunnel State Park. Meals will be provided as part of the program and the students will be chaperoned by teachers from the Scott County School System.

To sign-up for this program, students must turn in the Summer Enrichment Application Package, Nature Trek 360˚ Medical Form, and Nature Trek 360˚ Permission Form to the student’s homeroom teacher. This program is geared to rising 5-7th graders.

These materials can be obtained from your school’s office. Please remember that preference will be given to those students who have not attended before.
