The interpreters at Natural Tunnel offer a variety of programs from wildflower walks in the spring to astronomy programs on a clear summer night, a historic hayride down Fincastle Turnpike or a birding trip though various habitats. However, their most popular programs are Canoe the Clinch, the Wild Cave Tours and the Stock Creek Passage. If you are planning on visiting our park, take a few minutes to see if any of these programs might be for you.
In addition to the nature programs, there are many other programs at the park, including concerts, hikes, foot races, the Siege at the Blockhouse, Haunted Hayrides and more. Some of the special programs are already listed on the 2008 Program Schedule, and as we have more specific information, we will add that to the Special Programs page.
Educational groups come to Natural Tunnel for outdoor learning. We are currently developing educational materials for the programs offered at the park. As these are completed, they will be listed on the Education Programs page.
