Welcome to the Cove Ridge Center at Natural Tunnel State Park in Duffield, Virginia.  The Cove Ridge Center is a unique collaboration between Virginia State Parks and the Cove Ridge Foundation.

We opened our doors in 1999 with the goal of becoming the premier regional multi-purpose facility, hosting cultural arts and educational programs, providing a gathering place for groups with various outdoor interests and as a location of interest to tourism groups.  Since opening, we have also become a popular location for family and class reunions, weddings, business training sessions and retreats. .

The Cove Ridge Center has a 110-person capacity auditorium, a 25-person capacity meeting room, 2 lodges for up to 24 people each, a gazebo and amphitheater available for rental. Please take a look around in the virtual tour of our facilities.  In addition, we provide special overnight packages and catering options for your event.

With summer winding down, and fall right around the corner, space is filling up fast! Come and enjoy the breathtaking and unmatched scenery from our deck, and let us host your event. Give the Cove Ridge Center a call today and book your next program or event now at (276) 940-2696.

In addition to the wonderful facilities here at the Cove Ridge Center, Natural Tunnel State Park also offers many opportunities to enhance your visit, from the tunnel that gives the park its name, to a swimming pool, hiking trails, a campground and multiple programs offered by our  interpreters, as well as many unique and special events.  Our 2011 schedule of programs can be found here.

Many of the Cove Ridge Center's special events are hosted by the Cove Ridge Foundation and its councils, including Pickin' in the Park and the Papa Joe Smiddy Mountain Music Festival.
